This is a slightly abstract depiction of dewdrops on leaves. The plant is the same one used in my purple Amethyst Amarantine painting but was designed to focus more on the mesmerizing, jewel-like quality of water beads.
Water drops always look like smooth gemstones to me, and I wanted to celebrate their often overlooked beauty.
