I adore Betta Fish. They are intelligent, interactive and an artist dream when it comes to painting. My former Betta lived in a 90-gallon tank and would fly through the water when I walked past, trying to follow me. He was just like my puppy. Sometimes I would feed him by hand and he liked to swim through my fingers. I am on the lookout for a new one to love and inspire me.
I used a special combination of paints to achieve this unique luminous effect on his scales. I am very pleased with how they turned out. Here is a closeup:
